Please note we currently don't have any donkeys available for purchase. Fraudulent entities are misusing our stud name and address. We use an Expression of Interest process for potential buyers to be considered for our foals which includes meeting with us and our donkeys prior to sale.
Our foals
We only breed limited foals a year. Its "Quality" rather than "Quantity" we are after and this way we are able to provide each foal with lots of individual care and attention. We are excited about our two confirmed pregnancies for the remainder of 2025, one for March 2026 and three for September 2026.
The birth of a foal is very exciting. We very closely monitor our jennies when they are close to foaling. A foaling alarm is worn by the jenny and our foaling barn has cameras so we can frequently check the jenny or foal. Our foals are special and all are handled and provided with attention and training from the moment they are born. That way they are friendly and social. We wean them around six months of age. As responsible breeders we geld most of our boys just before weaning and will only sell the absolute best that are capable of enhancing the breed as a stud jack to breeders. Geldings make beautiful pets, intact Jacks don't.

Our foals that have found a forever home or have been retained by us
Dancer delivered a beautiful boy on 12 April 2025 and Viola delivered a beautiful boy on 4 March 2025. Pine Ridge Moon Dance and Pine Ridge Black Knight are going to a loving forever home with a family in Exeter.

Chanell delivered a bouncy little girl for us on a hot sunny 15 March day. It is Chanell's first girl for us and therefore we will be retaining Pine Ridge Sunshine who is a mirror image of her beautiful mum. Chanell is our oldest girl and she has done extremely well.

Musetta delivered a tiny little girl on 4 February 2025. We will be retaining Pine Ridge Lianne (named after my mum Lia and dad Jan) for our breeding program here at Pine Ridge.

PLEASE NOTE: We will not sell single donkeys unless they are going to a home where there already is another long eared friend. Donkeys do not cope well on their own, they simply are very social animals and while they get along with other species, we find they are much, MUCH happier and healthier in the company of another donkey. Further, the research shows that donkeys tend to bond in pairs – forming lifelong relationships with their buddies. Even within the herd they will pair off – unlike horses, who are herd animals and happiest when they are (any) part of a herd.
